Dear Sir/Madam Re: Strong growth in traffic continues with GoConnect’s online video sharing site www.ToKillFor.com, while online music competition in China gears up for public launch
GoConnect first launched its online video sharing site www.ToKillFor.com on 12 December 2006. After 6 months, www.ToKillFor.com is now drawing traffic from an active community of users from 100 countries. The number of videos viewed has grown strongly with video views in the month of June 2007 exceeding that of April 2007 (when last reported) by 70%, to reach close to 69,000 views. The number of page view impressions and unique users in June 2007 exceeded that of April 2007 by 58% and 43%respectively. The US, Australia, the EC, and more recently China, have all contributed to the growth in traffic to the site.
The site currently hosts over 3,800 videos and the number of videos uploaded is growing daily. GoConnect has been active in promoting this media property with initiatives including the establishment of a ToKillFor.com interview crew and a “Have Your Say” channel on the site introducing a range of global issues to encourage visitor interaction.
These promising early outcomes for www.ToKillFor.com have prompted GoConnect to extend its Internet video strategy by capitalizing on the company’s expertise and experience in Internet video sharing and online advertising sales to establish additional niche properties in the same space. Further details on this new and exciting business development will be available before the end of July 2007.
www.ToKillFor.com was created to act as a marketing hub for all the Company’s online and mobile products. The current rate of growth in unique visitor numbers gives GoConnect’s management the confidence that www.ToKillFor.com will become its most important marketing platform and an income generating online media property before the end of calendar year 2007.
GoConnect is also providing technical support to its parent company Sino Strategic International Ltd (“SSI”) in the conduct of an online music competition, in partnership with the Youth Daily Group of Shanghai. GoConnect has developed a new and unique backend system and website for this competition. The online music competition site is now live and is undergoing extensive internal testing prior to launch, which is scheduled for the second half of calendar year 2007. GoConnect will share in SSI’s economic interest in this project.
Based on the Company’s market research, this competition is expected to achieve at least 10,000 entries with the site achieving over 5 million unique users a month. This site is expected to become one of the largest entertainment portals in China. The competition partners have been working closely with one of the largest advertising firms in the world in securing sponsorships and advertising sales for this project. This competition is expected to achieve significant profitability for its partners during the 2007-08 financial year.
