FAST HEALING VLU WITH GRANULATION HEMOGLOBIN SPRAY
AND ANTIMICROBIAL DACC DRESSINGS

Aim: Clean the wound and close the VLU

Method:
68 years old patient, male, has an open VLU for more than 90 days. The
infection and fibrin were removed with dressings*; the wound was cleaned only with
saline solution and sterile hypoallergenic liquid soap. After removing the slough and
fibrin, was applied He
moglobin Granulation Spray and covered with a breathable
silicone and foam dressing with absorbing capacity.

Result:
The VLU was closed less than 20 days. The dressings were applied between
3-5 days in home care services. A thin layer of antimicrobial gauze* kept the balance of
the wound bed in order the Hemoglobin Spray to come up on a proper wound bed and
supply oxygen to the new granulated tissues.

Conclusion:
The synergy between the dressings* and the Hemoglobin Spray offered
extraordinary results, very fast achieved, less than 20days, as can be seen in the
pictures. The hemoglobin spray is acting properly when the environment is not harmful
with infection or fibrin. All the costs and efforts were convenient relative to the results.

The importance of oxygenation and tissue perfusion to the wound-healing process is well known and it is recognised that oxygen demand increases during the process of tissue repair.
