gibt die Analysenergebnisse für weitere hochgradig vererzte
Gesteinssplitterproben von der São-João-Liegenschaft in der
Tapajos-Goldprovinz im brasilianischen Bundesstaat Pará bekannt.

Aurora Gold gibt die Analysenergebnisse von Gesteinssplitterproben aus
Quarzgängen bekannt, die laut Vermutung mit dem Hauptgang in Zusammenhang
stehen. Die früher berichtete Beprobung von über dem Hauptgang angelegten
Schürfgräben hat zur Entdeckung eines 80 m langen Abschnitts mit 30,94 g/t
Gold geführt. Die jüngste Beprobung und Kartierung hat gezeigt, dass dieses
Gangsystem weit ausgedehnt ist und eine Reihe weiterer Gänge wurde entdeckt
und beprobt. Die Analysenergebnisse der Proben aus diesen weiteren Gängen
schließen ein:

Nachfolgende Explorationsarbeiten und die weitere Abgrenzung von
Zielgebieten werden zur Vorbereitung zukünftiger Testbohrungen fortgesetzt.
Der Bohrbeginn ist für das zweite Quartal 2007 geplant und das Unternehmen
ist zuversichtlich, Ressourcen zur Ergänzung der Molly-Ressource auf der
São-Domingo-Liegenschaft des Unternehmens zu finden und abzugrenzen.

Die Molly-Ressource wurde vor kurzem als so genannte Inferred
(geschlussfolgerte) Ressource definiert und berechnet:

1.428.000 Tonnen mit 3,94 g/t Au. Dies entspricht 180.000 Unzen Gold
(gerundet)*.

Richtlinien des Australasian Joint Ore Reserve Committee ('JORC') zum
Bericht von Mineralressourcen und Erzvorräten ('JORC-Richtlinien')

Aufgrund der unwirtschaftlichen Gehalte in den Bohrabschnitten auf dem
Santa-Isabel-Projekt hat sich das Unternehmen dazu entschieden, dieses
Optionsabkommen nicht weiter fortzuführen.

As a follow up from high grade gold assays from the rock chip sampling of quartz veins believed to be associated with the main vein at Sao Joao, Aurora Gold is pleased to announce the commencement of a diamond drill program to test these outstanding results. Drilling will focus on areas that have returned high grades in surface sampling and that have been mapped in detail. It is planned to drill a systematic program of relatively short holes to test the down dip potential of these surface anomalies. It is believed that such a focused and staged approach will maximize drill meters and lead logically into feasibility studies given the success of the program.

The Sao Joao Prospect is located approximately 60 kms from Aurora's Molly Project which is currently undergoing pre-feasibility studies. With the proximity of Sao Joao to the Molly Project, Aurora believes that a successful drill program at Sao Joao will form a strategic position in the Tapajos Gold Province and bring the Company one step closer to its vision of becoming a gold producer.

Aurora Gold Corporation (the "Company," "Aurora Gold") (OTCBB: ARXG) (FRANKFURT: A4G) (XETRA: A4G) (BERLIN: A4G), a mineral exploration company focusing on exploration and development in the Tapajos Gold Province, State of Para, Brazil, is pleased to announce drilling is scheduled to upgrade and increase the resource estimate for the Molly occurrence on the Company's Sao Domingos property.

After reviewing the geology and grade continuity from previous drilling on the Molly Resource at the Sao Domingos project, the Company is pleased to announce that drilling is scheduled to begin within the next 2 weeks. Drilling will target extensions of the current resource as well as to infill current drilling to increase the confidence levels.

The Company plans to define 3 years worth of reserves over the next 6 months to enable feasibility studies to be conducted on a 300,000 tonne/year processing facility with the view to commencing production in 2008. Currently the resource still remains open along strike in both directions and at depth. Aurora will continue to evaluate the potential, and is confident that Molly could evolve and link up with other noted targets further along strike. A geophysical survey is planned for later in the year to test the strike continuity of the Molly mineralised structure.
