"Takeaway from the shareholder meeting today. Only 2 shareholders attended the meeting in person, the years before nobody showed up so this was new to the company. Registered number of votes were only 28 million. There was plenty of time to ask questions, there was no restraint in the answering. The share price drop of the day before was not expected as the attending doctors in Lugano were enthusiastic. May be they should change their public relations office. The AFM13 trial design of 25 weeks AFM13/52 weeks PD1 had been chosen 4 years ago due to safety reasons. AFM 13 (stand alone) annual market potential in the US amounts to 2500 x $ 200k. An accelerated approval based on a trial with 100 patients has been agreed on. The IND of AFM24 will be filed in September. New to me was the prospect of a combo of AFM 24 (which has been described as very safe and a low stand alone 20% ORR bar) plus PD-1. This could be a very potent and profitable medicine. May be this complicates the ongoing partnering discussions with a PD-1 partner. I have asked why Anderson is that slow, although Affimed pays for this. Anderson is in the lead and Affimed has limited legal power to make Anderson a little faster. A triple combo of cbNK/ AFM13 or #24/PD-1 would be possible in theory, but things then become quite complicated according to mrs Alland . The termination of AFM11 was in fact based on commercial reasons (market too crowded), Mr Hoess wants to invest this money in the AFM24 trials. AFM26 is fully funded by the undisclosed partner. To wrap up: solid science but room for improvement regarding to speed and public relations"
